Can we Force the DOTNET Garbage Collector to Run ?

The DOTNET Garbage Collector is responsible for reclaiming un-referenced heap memory and compressing it from time to time. MSDN documentation says that it is not possible to predict the exact time at which the garbage collector will run. In fact, it may not run at all, if your program is too short, for example. However, it is possible to place a request for running it immediately. It is a request, but it is generally called 'forcing the garbage collector to run immediately'. You can place this request by calling the static function 'Collect' of the FCl class called GC 

GC.Collect();

The difference between the training here and at other places is that they donot dictate notes. They ask us to write code on the laptops. I was never bored during this training. My interest was maintained till the end of the training. I feel sad why I didn't meet them earlier.
